The British Columbia Cystic Fibrosis Association is a volunteer organization that works with and on behalf of British Columbia residents with cystic fibrosis and their families. Representation includes members from Cystic Fibrosis Canada chapters in BC, regional directors, an Adult CF Liaison, a District 5 Kin Liaison and advisors from BC CF clinics. The Association, whose programs are partially supported by a Government of BC Direct Access Grant, seeks to improve the quality of life for persons with cystic fibrosis by:
- Advocating on CF related issues such as Pharamacare coverage, lung transplant and newborn screening
- Supporting CF clinics and outreach clinics
- Raising awareness of CF in British Columbia
- Encouraging and developing CF volunteers
